How many strategies or pairs should a trader realistically manage?

I've been in and out of forex for a while now, and one question keeps coming back to me: How much is too much?

Some traders swear by focusing on one pair, one strategy, master it, then scale. Others say diversification across pairs and strategies is the only way to smooth out equity curves and reduce risk.

But realistically, most of us don't have 12 hours a day to watch 10 different charts.

So I want to ask the experienced traders here not the gurus on YouTube, but real people who've actually made money over time.

all markets are the same.since they are all being driven by the same thing.human emotions.so personally i focus on the set ups on my playbook not the instrument i'm trading.maybe you can only consider the instrument with regards to the session you're trading.i.e on indices ger40  is a london one,nas100,sp500,us30 ny session etc.i personally only trade ny session and only the 2nd and 3rd hour

staring at like 10 different charts all day is dead ass exhausting, so stripping ur pairs and setups right down to the bare minimum is proper way to go. just lock in on one or two instruments u actually know inside out and master a single playbook, makes things way easier.

The system is only as good as the discipline behind it.
