how many minimum holding time per trade? because it is stated scalping is not allowed for onefunded upcoming competition in September

Hi!

The "No Scalping" rule specifically refers to tick scalping, not standard scalping strategies.

Tick scalping involves executing a very high volume of extremely short-duration trades to capture tiny price movements on individual ticks. This includes:  Ultra-short holding times, Excessive execution frequency, Micro-scalping behavior, Strategies that rely on unrealistically precise execution conditions or simulated execution characteristics. Regular scalping strategies are allowed. Only trading styles primarily designed to exploit market microstructure inefficiencies or platform execution behavior are prohibited.

The key factor is the overall trading pattern and behavior, not a single trade. As a general guideline, trades held for more than 2 minutes are typically not considered tick scalping. However, even if you occasionally have a trade that lasts less than 2 minutes, that alone will not be treated as a rule violation. We look at your trading activity as a whole. Tick scalping is identified by a consistent pattern of executing a high volume of ultra-short trades designed to exploit execution or pricing inefficiencies, rather than by the duration of any individual trade.

Hi I read the competition rules and there's something I'll need you to clarify. When you say scalping is not allowed, what do you classify as scalping cus I'm an intraday trader and can open and close multiple positions on one pair in a day. So I'll like to know what you term as scalping for more clarity Thanks

Hi! The “No Scalping” rule refers specifically to tick scalping, not regular intraday trading or standard scalping strategies.

You can open and close multiple positions on the same pair throughout the day. There’s no strict minimum holding time, but trades held for more than 2 minutes are generally not considered tick scalping. Occasional shorter trades are also fine — we look at the overall trading pattern, not a single trade.

Hi! The Scalping part is the minimum holding time which is often 2 to 5 minutes, which I think is not allowed

Hi! There is no strict minimum holding time. The rule only applies to tick scalping. Trades over 2 minutes are generally fine, and occasional shorter trades are allowed too.

Could you provide major details about the ''scalping''?

what mean scapling ???

Hi! Scalping generally means opening and closing trades quickly to profit from small price movements.

For this competition, regular scalping is allowed. The restriction applies specifically to tick scalping — repeatedly placing a high volume of ultra-short trades, often within seconds, to exploit small pricing or execution inefficiencies.

Is the trade/competition going to be able to already copy trades from my existing registered system here on myfxbook or am i going to have to place trades separately from another trading platform?

Hi! You’ll need to place your trades separately on the competition account via MT5. The competition account is separate from your existing Myfxbook system.

Hello frinds ,

Thank you OneFunded Team for the clear explanation.

So just to confirm for everyone:

✅ Regular scalping & intraday trading is allowed✅ Multiple trades on same pair in a day is fine✅ Trades held more than 2 minutes are safe✅ Occasional shorter trades are also okay❌ Only heavy tick scalping (many trades in seconds) is not allowed

Also good to know that EA and Hedging are allowed.

This clarification helps a lot. Looking forward to a fair competition.Good luck to all participants!
