A lot of traders look at the chart and jump into a trade… but they never check the spread. On some pairs the spread is normally 1-2 pips. But during news or low liquidity it can jump to 5-8 pips. So the moment you enter, you’re already 3-4 pips in loss. My personal rule is simple: Before I click buy or sell, I quickly check the spread on my broker. If it’s higher than usual, I just skip that trade. Such a small thing, but it has saved me from a lot of unnecessary losses. Do you check the spread before entering a trade?

the spread is very important especially for short term trades
