Don't Be a Hero!
Don't try to be a hero! Considering the markets uncertainty especially instrument like Gold could pop at any second, and you definitely don't want to be the last one stuck in a short. Let's just hang out and see what Monday's open brings ;)
Tell yourself: I am a patient trader...
just a friendly tip — as a new trader, don’t rush it. Watch, learn, practice, repeat.
Spend as much time as you can on demo, try different things, make mistakes there, and learn from them. That phase is super important.
this is my public MQL5 account so you can see what a long-term learning curve looks like:https://www.mql5.com/en/signals/2317345
Also, Babypips is a great free educational resource if you haven’t checked it yet.
Good luck and take it step by step 👍

Patience and Discipline for consistency
From my experience, Gold punishes forced bias, whether it’s long or short. If you’re emotionally attached to being right, you’re already late. I’d rather miss a move than hold a bad position. Are you waiting for structure on the open or just reading sentiment?
i don’t look at sentiment to avoid any bias. my trading is mainly based on price action and market structure. Looking back at my trade history over the weekend,https://www.mql5.com/en/signals/2317345 i noticed that with the current volatility I’ve been trading gold more like a hit-and-run style 🙂
