Are AI Trading Tools Actually Useful?
Lately I've been noticing that almost every trading platform seems to have some kind of AI feature.
AI signals, AI market analysis, AI predictions, AI trading assistants... it feels like the term is everywhere.
I'm not against technology at all. Some tools are genuinely useful for filtering information, tracking multiple markets, or setting up alerts. At the same time, I sometimes wonder how much of the "AI revolution" in trading is actually useful and how much is simply marketing.
Recently, while reading various trading discussions and Skyjetprogression Reviews, I noticed that AI tools are becoming one of the most frequently mentioned topics when traders compare different platforms and services.
From my own experience, good risk management and sticking to a plan still seem far more important than any indicator or automated tool.
I'm curious what other traders think.
Have you used any AI-based trading tools that genuinely improved your workflow or decision-making?
Or do you think most of them are overhyped and provide little real advantage compared to traditional analysis?
100% they can be very useful. However, they have to be built and placed in the right environment. You can't expect to go to Claude, and ask for trades, when we all know it has no access to real time trading information, data, market context, and others it needs to truly generate a trade. However, if you give it :multi agentic flows to study macro and trend for the dayreal time array of cmt data on multiple time frames (i.e. EMA, RSI, VWAP, ATR, FIBS, Etc) market context (i.e. rates, VIX, breadth, DXY, GOLD, etc) have it produce trade setups, then use another agent to monitor if entry is valid or not, then you have a system that can actually generate profitable setups in larger groups of trades.
Depends on what AI trading tools we are talking about. I know some traders using AI tools to identify deep order flow of big whales. I think these are good ones, the price stings a bit, but if you’re about to become a full-fledged trader, then I guess it’s worth considering.
TO me, they bear some utility to trading for sure...
Especialyl the ones with ML. Ttake for example, some mean reversion indicator - with KNN Machine Learning method you can cross check and fine tune the indicator based on the history...
Sure, no AI tool can make you rich, but as a new modern aiding tool - yeap, good

Thanks for the detailed answer, I dont think people talk about Claude in this. There are systems that are better at analyzing charts specifically.
In my experience, for those brokers that implemented it, I sometimes ended up using it. Just for fun and to check if they agree with my take.
I think the ones that actually draw on charts are quite useful.
Some of the AI tools are very useful. The one that I enjoy the most is the AI market overview. Many brokers started adding it, and this feature carries lots of benefits.
It's tough to keep up with every single piece of news out there, and missing just one important update could lead you down the wrong path. But market overviews collect all the data and makes quick summaries, allowing you to understand what’s going on with the sentiment.
most of those ai tools r just marketing fluff tbh. sure, they might crunch data faster, but if ur expecting an ai to make ur trades for u, u'll get wiped out pretty quick. i only use that tech as a noise filter to get a quick feel for the macro bias, but at the end of the day, risk management n discipline r things u gotta handle urself—no bot's gonna save u if u ignore the basics.

Objectively speaking, the vast majority of AI tools currently in the market are useless after the first excitement or impression of what they can do. There was an influx of AI sentiment tools for example, which i doubt that any trader uses them seriously. So they stop being advertised now. However, now I see that some good stuff is coming. Portfolio analyzer, exit suggestions, and other practical tools.

I believe Trying to reason with a fool is the fastest way to waste valuable time
Best of luck again you need to spend 12 to 15 year to judge someone he is scammer or trader

Well to some extent. Are they useful to trade for you and make you money consistently? No, because even before mainstream AI, we had Algo and bots, didn't work out as well as we thought it would. Now we have AI, and maybe you can use it to perhaps track volume or analyze sentiment, nothing beats human experience.

worth remembering most "ai trading tools" are repackaged indicators with a markup. If it's genuinely improving your read on liquidity/positioning, sure, that's different from most AI trading hype out there.
