Thing is most people start small which seems like smart move but it's not

Gold lowest lot size 0.01 even with 100$ dollar youre not safe so best way is fragments your layer b

You risk manage to a point than no matter how low gold market sinks you account should have the ability to hold

So how can 100$ sustain  easy but most people don't realize it's sent account

In my own testing with hfm most small accounts blow up not because of direction, but because the margin and drawdowns are too tight to survive normal volatility. When you say “fragment your layer”, are you talking about scaling entries in smaller pieces across levels instead of one 0.01 position? Either way, I agree that if someone is going to trade XAUUSD, they should treat it like a business plan with clearly defined max DD

If you manage 1:5 leverage and fragments your total layer into 50 or 60 layers you will have the safest way of trading chllage is not being greedy

Happy for you that this has been working for you with gold. At the end of the day, it’s just your approach – some people like layering, some prefer single entries, some don’t touch gold at all. As long as you treat it like a business and understand the risk you’re taking, you’re doing your thing.

Positive mindset helps, and gold definitely forces discipline because mistakes get expensive fast. But the “millions” talk can push new traders into oversizing. With your layering approach, how do you choose the spacing between entries, and what’s the hard line where you admit the idea is wrong and cut it?

There is no hard line to be honest , you just have to always calculating , if you already taken lots more than 1:3 leverage we need slow down , secondly daily 5 entries , but not everyday you stock 5 entries some days you will have opportunity to close entries

Thing is spacing not a problem when you limit your exposure recommend checking after 30 min or 1 hr ,

Calculate the size of your lot for 1:5 leverage then fragment it to many pieces, if you are impulsive then fragment it to 50, if you slow and clam and will wait for large spacing maybe 30 or 20 pcess

There is no one size fits all strategy, the main thing is to manage risk and position sizing dynamically. The stop loss size and the lot size go hand in hand in adjustment.
