Hi everyone,

I’ve been reading a lot about how artificial intelligence is being used in trading, especially for analyzing large datasets and predicting market movements. Some traders claim AI can identify patterns that humans might miss, while others say it’s just hype.

I’m curious to know if anyone here has actually used AI tools or machine learning models to improve their forex trading results. Did it help with strategy development, signal generation, or market analysis?

I’d love to hear your experiences, what tools you used, and whether AI made a noticeable difference in your trading performance.

AI can definitely help with processing data and spotting patterns. It works best when you already understand the basics and have a clear approach to risk. Otherwise it’s easy to rely on signals without really knowing why a trade makes sense. Tools like that assist the decision making process not lead it. The foundation still has to come from the trader.

AI can definitely help a trader become better, especially with analyzing data or testing ideas. But it won’t turn someone who doesn’t understand trading into a profitable trader. At the end of the day it’s still a tool, and the results depend on the person using it.

personally i'm using ai especially chatgpt to provide me with insights to the markets in terms of fundamental analysis and so far it has been doing a great job. so i think if you use it wisely it can probably help you in staying profitable towards the week or even months.

I did try using a few AI tools for market analysis. They can help process large amounts of data and highlight patterns, but they still depend heavily on the quality of the inputs and the strategy behind them. In my experience AI works better as a support tool rather than something that replaces the trader’s judgment.

AI in trading is useful, but it’s not magic.

It helps most with analyzing large data, spotting patterns, and refining strategies, especially through backtesting. But when it comes to predicting markets or generating signals, it’s not always reliable since markets change.

Tools like AI-based research platforms (like, Valetax’s Analysis Centre) can add context with data like sentiment and volatility, but they don’t replace decision-making.

Overall, AI is a support tool, not a shortcut. If your strategy and risk management aren’t solid, AI won’t fix that.

I agreed with you on that but have you tried using Fully Automated System To Actually Trade?

AI or machine learning is most useful as a support layer: analyzing market structure, highlighting statistical tendencies, or optimizing parameters. But at the end of the day, execution and risk control still determine results.

In fact, that’s why I developed a rule-based automated system. It’s not “AI predicting the market,” but it does follow a predefined structure to manage entries, exits, and risk — automatically. The system essentially removes emotional interference while still leveraging statistical edges, which is often the biggest obstacle for many traders.

Curious — when you used AI, did you mainly try it for strategy research, or did you attempt live trade execution as well?

That’s a smart approach. Using AI like ChatGPT for fundamental analysis can definitely save time and help highlight potential market-moving events. The key, as you said, is using it wisely — it’s a tool for insights, not a trading autopilot. In my experience, combining structured automation with informed analysis works even better. The automation handles execution and risk consistently, while AI or research tools help inform high-probability setups. This way, you remove emotional interference and still stay aligned with market context. Curious — do you manually execute your trades after analyzing the AI insights, or have you experimented with letting structured systems take over execution as well?

AI definitely helps a lot when used the right way, and it can reduce manual mistakes that come from overanalysis or emotional decisions. It’s great for scanning data, backtesting, and spotting patterns faster than we can. But on its own, it’s not a quick fix because market context still matters. I see it more as a support tool that improves execution rather than something that replaces a solid trading approach.

Well AI itself won’t make any drastic improvement on its own. It’s more of a tool than a solution. It can help with data analysis, backtesting, and spotting patterns faster, but the core still depends on your strategy and execution. If the logic behind the system isn’t solid, AI won’t fix that. Used properly, it can support your process, but relying on it completely usually doesn’t work in the long run.
