I agree with this, but from my experience the problem starts when short cycle thinking becomes random overtrading. The best results for me came when I kept the entry short term, but the bias came from higher timeframe macro and structure

Shorter cycles are often more practical for many forex traders. The market reacts quickly to news, data releases, and central bank comments, so waiting too long can mean missing the move. That’s why a lot of retail traders stick to day trading or swing trading. Longer trends exist, but they usually require a lot more patience.

Retail traders usually can’t hold positions long term the same way institutions can. Margin requirements and account size make that difficult in many cases. That’s why a lot of retail traders prefer day trading or swing trading instead.
