I’m interested in an EA and wondering if it’s normal to give my mt4 account number to the developer. Most EA seem to license what they have as opposed to giving my account number. Any thoughts on this?

It's not unusual for EA developers to require an account number for testing and customization purposes. However, it's important to verify the legitimacy of the developer before providing any personal information. It's also wise to read and understand the terms of service and any licensing agreements before proceeding.

An EA can send it directly from the code even without you manually giving it to them.
