I got the update on the 23rd and applied it to the chart and the following day it kept shorting as it pushed north.

From 25th January, we have started to use the newest version of EA, "RFP Gold V5 EA".

Yes, we provide all settings what we use.

both, the EA decides based on it's algorithm, and i have good results on both

yeah it was a huge drop (again :-(
but no losses :-) nowadays I switch off my xauusd EA's on sunday evening and check the market situation when the markets open on sunday evening (european time) and on monday morning to see if they can start again.
I also reduced the lot size for xauusd a bit to have some extra margin/buffer when needed
I kept my RFP Gold MT5 version running and this one had quite a negative P&L from buy orders, but it was all closed nicely (overall profitable) later in the day when xauusd increased again

Relying on the market to turn with a grid strategy is like flipping a coin. Constantly adding new trades that drain more deposit is not considered a logical algorithm. I hope you have strong nerves because I don't have to these strategies.
