Indeks Harga Konsumen Tokyo tanpa Makanan dan Energi YoY mengukur persentase perubahan harga konsumen di Jepang, tidak termasuk makanan dan energi, dibandingkan dengan periode yang sama tahun lalu. Indikator ini digunakan untuk menilai tren inflasi yang mendasari.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the JPY while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the JPY.

Japan GDP Growth Revised Up To 1.4%
Japan's economy expanded more than initially estimated in the second quarter largely due to the upward revision to business investment, second estimate from the Cabinet Office showed Tuesday. Gross domestic product grew 1.4 percent on an annualized basis in the second quarter, which was revised up from the preliminary estimate of 1.1 percent.
