Persetujuan hipotek di Inggris mengukur jumlah tawaran tetap yang dibuat oleh pemberi pinjaman untuk memberikan kredit yang dijamin pada properti residensial selama periode tertentu. Indikator ini digunakan untuk menilai kesehatan pasar perumahan dan kondisi pinjaman.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the GBP while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the GBP.

UK House Prices Fall For First Time Since 2023
UK house prices declined for the first time since late 2023 in August, data published by Lloyds Banking Group showed Monday. House prices dropped 0.4 percent on an annual basis in July, marking the first decrease since November 2023. The drop followed a marginal 0.1 percent rise in July.

UK Mortgage Approvals Lowest Since 2024
UK mortgage approvals declined to the lowest since early 2024, while consumer credit reached its highest level since late 2025, the Bank of England said Tuesday. The number of mortgages approved in July declined unexpectedly to 56,053 from 58,215 in June. This was the lowest since January 2024.

UK House Price Growth Accelerates
UK house price growth accelerated in August despite economic uncertainties, data from the Nationwide Building Society showed Tuesday. House prices grew 1.6 percent on a yearly basis, faster than the 1.4 percent rise in July but weaker than economists' forecast of 2.0 percent. Month-on-month, house prices gained 0.2 percent, in contrast to the 0.1 percent fall in July.
