Di Inggris, Penjualan Ritel tanpa Bahan Bakar YoY mengukur persentase perubahan dalam penjualan ritel, tidak termasuk bahan bakar, dibandingkan dengan periode yang sama tahun lalu. Indikator ini digunakan untuk menilai tren pengeluaran konsumen dan kesehatan ekonomi.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the GBP while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the GBP.

UK Economy Expands Unexpectedly
The UK economy expanded unexpectedly in July as artificial intelligence and cloud computing boosted services output, official data revealed Friday. Gross domestic product posted a monthly growth of 0.4 percent, following an increase of 0.3 percent in June and no growth in May, the Office for National Statistics reported. GDP was expected to remain flat in July.

UK Mortgage Approvals Lowest Since 2024
UK mortgage approvals declined to the lowest since early 2024, while consumer credit reached its highest level since late 2025, the Bank of England said Tuesday. The number of mortgages approved in July declined unexpectedly to 56,053 from 58,215 in June. This was the lowest since January 2024.
