Penjualan ritel tanpa gas dan mobil MoM mengukur persentase perubahan dalam penjualan ritel di Amerika Serikat, tidak termasuk dealer kendaraan bermotor dan stasiun pengisian bahan bakar, dibandingkan dengan bulan sebelumnya. Indikator ini digunakan untuk menilai tren pengeluaran konsumen.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the USD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the USD.

A report released by the National Association of Realtors on Thursday showed an extended slump by existing home sales in the U.S. in the month of August. NAR said existing home sales dove by 2.0 percent to an annual rate of 3.98 million in August after tumbling by 1.7 percent to an annual rate of 4.06 million in July.
