Australia Construction Work Climbs 1.3% In Q3
(RTTNews) - The value of total construction work done in Australia was up a seasonally adjusted 13 percent on quarter in the third quarter of 2023, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said on Wednesday - coming in at A$64.768 billion.
That beat forecasts for an increase of 0.3 percent and was up from 0.4 percent in the three months prior.
Individually, work for building was up 0.2 percent on quarter to A$34.300 billion, while residential was up 1.3 percent at A$20.675 billion, non-residential fell 1.6 percent to A$13.625 billion and engineering rose 2.6 percent to A$30.468 billion.
On a yearly basis, the value of overall construction work was up 8.5 percent.
