Interest rate remains unchanged despite Trump's appeals to cut it. Well, looks like FED tries to show it's independence from US president. Let's take our popcorn and see what's happening. Btw tarrif's roller-coaster in FX market gave us very juicy volatility and 1.72k pips daily result in fixed profits. And please be careful these days cause market tests risk-management reliability of your tarding systems.

Mixed US macrodata gave us mostly neutral week in terms of US dollar strength. Weekly equity of the strategy due to this tendency was slightly positive. All is going according to plan.

First week of new year was again positive for dollar index, volatility wasn't much high. But looks like this week brings us fresh volatile moves from the beginning. Macro data from Europe is positive while US data is negative, and these are good signs for buying major currencies against US dollar. Let's see how market awakens in this 2025. Hello, thank you for commenting. Actually i try to consider such risks when set up lot size and other risk parameters in my system. If you want to be more safe you can stop trading during this period, but i prefer to catch these spikes if they happen.

Slow NY moves in market, we are in the end of one year and at the beginning of another. Situation has no significant changes, except low liquidity period with high volatility probability. If you are in the market, control risks more carefully these days.

USD strenghtening continued past week, so we haven't much profit by equity now, but little profits are gained as usual by closing many positions. Let's go further. Another profitable trading week ended with 0.65% gain regarding closed positions. There is still much potential in growth of major fx pairs against us dollar according to some fundamental and technical factors, so the process continues. Good time now for strategy stress-test with all this usd volatile moving against all major fx currencies. The parameters of the system are in adjusting process to hold drawdown less then appropriate levels while building new positions and catching volatility. Let's see where it goes. The key idea is that usd is massively overbought ahead of rate cutting cycle. Waiting for strengthening of major currnecy pairs against us dollar.
