I agree that manual trading has greater potential both way and in the end each trader decides what they are willing to accept. Personally I only engage into manual trading.

You are welcome Bruce. I have found that feeling that your funds are safe is very important. I think three different brokers is a good start. It is also a good idea to initially fund your accounts with little cash and see how it goes. I have only came across one broker who took my money and ran. They are closed now, but I only had $20 with them to start and they already acted strange about minor accounting issues. They even asked why I don't fund it with more cash and after I told them I am testing them they developed an attitude rather fast. I asked them to close my account and send my mon...

You may want to check out PaxForex as well. I have been with them for a bit and so far I am very pleased with them. They offer three different trading accounts and their customer service is top of the line, at least that has been my experience. I slowly moved my funds over there and for now they won the battle for my prime FX Broker. They handle deposits/withdrawals very fast and I feel my funds are safe with them. I agree with your statement about trading and that it should be emotionless. I have to disagree with the other part of your response that the benefit will not be much greater learning how to trade and using an EA. In the end, all that matters is that you are satisfied with your results.

Hey LK, I know what you mean :).Hi skyjack, as a starting point it is ok, I just hope you will not only rely on those and that you put more effort into your finances then that. By no means do I want to suggest every youtube video is garbage but as with all in life make wise decisions. That offer you received is way off anything I would recommend acceptable, but then again we all differ in what we think is valuable.

I agree with LK, you should not judge your trading based on isolated trades, but rather give it an overall look. I think the most obvious sign of success or failure is if you are making a profit at the end of the day. I have met plenty of traders who claim to get 80% of their trades and more right. At first that sounds like a great accomplishment, but unless you keep your losses in the same range as our profits it is not relevant.For example: You place 10 trades, close 9 at a profit of $20 but have one trade that causes a $250 loss. I have never used robots, but I can understand both sides of the argument. Why don't you try a social trading and follow traders? Personally I execute my own trades, but before you spend money and years buying and testing robots I think it makes more sense to follow traders and see how they perform and then copy them.

I have opened a standard account with PaxForex and so far I am very pleased. I have used them for some time and did not experience any issues. They do feature a very fast and professional customer service and also offer a blog as well as market news section which is quite interesting and adds to their overall package. I did not have a lot of re-quotes which is a positive as most my trades are executes fast and without issues.
