The DEMOcracy Contest: Rules and prizes

On the surface, the DEMOcracy Contest rules were simple: traders were invited to use a demo account and fight for a place in the top 10. All winners were set to receive their share of $5,000 as the main prize.

However, Headway decided to add an interesting twist. After joining the contest, participants got to choose their candidate – Donald Trump or Kamala Harris. In the end, the winners who correctly guessed the election winner would receive a 50% bonus on their winnings, increasing the total potential prize pool to $7,500.

Trump or Harris: How did Headway traders vote?

Once the U.S. election results were announced, Headway shared the list of the top 10 traders in the DEMOcracy Contest. Out of tens of thousands of participants, over 77% — including eight winners — chose Team Trump.

Since the Republican candidate won the presidential race, the eight winners also received a 50% bonus. Here is the final breakdown of Headway’s DEMOcracy Contest:

Ultimately, Headway awarded $7,350 out of the total $7,500 prize pool, making the DEMOcracy Contest one of the most rewarding demo contests for traders.
