Here is the full story of how Moneta Markets treats profitable traders. I had a balance of $94,930 USD. First, they maliciously dropped my leverage from 1:500 to 1:20 without warning to force a margin call, but I survived it.
Then, when I tried to withdraw, their team emailed me saying I must close all open positions to process the withdrawal. The EXACT second I complied and closed my 0.32 lot trades at the price of 4634.90, they instantly blocked my withdrawal button with a hardcoded error! They held my $94k hostage. Because they froze my capital, I missed a massive market dip to 4500 and a rally to 4752. This cost me over $3,773 in direct opportunity losses.
I immediately reported their fraud to their regulators (FSCA in South Africa and FSRA in St. Lucia) and posted on forums. Under extreme regulatory pressure, they finally got scared and released my $94k principal.
BUT here is the most cowardly part: The moment I sent an email demanding the $3,773 compensation for the opportunity cost their trap caused, their IT team permanently DELETED my account! When I try to log in, it says "User does not exist." They completely wiped my account to destroy my MT4 history and hide their backend manipulation. Fortunately, I screen-recorded all the evidence.
If you make a profit, they will trap your money. If you fight back and win, they will delete your account. AVOID THIS BROKER AT ALL COSTS!
