I prefer day trading, mainly because I like being in and out of the market rather than holding positions overnight. I mostly focus on XAUUSD and try to keep things rule-based rather than overtrading.
Undoubtedfly, day trade is the best suitable for me. I hate keeping them for days and I can't be at peace untill I close all the positions.

I prefer swing trading because it gives more time to analyze the market, avoid overtrading, and capture larger moves without constantly watching the charts.
Swing trading works better for me.
