Ophir Discussion
Vidalzeras posted:Hi everyone,
I wanted to raise a concern that I believe other copiers may also be facing.
Since Ophir's AUM increased substantially, my copied trades are no longer performing as well as before. The execution delay has grown considerably — trades that used to copy in near real-time are now arriving late, resulting in worse entry prices and reduced profitability on my side.
When the strategy had around $2M AUM the copy was clean and profitable. Now at $8M+ the slippage and latency are clearly impacting results.
Is anyone else seeing this? And RockwellFX, have you considered any changes to the strategy settings or copy parameters to help copiers maintain better execution quality?
Appreciate any feedback.
I am currently facing the same dilemma
Hi, @RockwellFX,Could you please take into account the slippage and latency, especially when you trade positions with big volume size?Today you opened a BUY position with a Volume 60, Entry Price 4554.58, Closing Price 4554.54, and made $57.60.For me, the position was copied with Volume 122, Entry Price 4557.26, Closing Price 4556.56, and -$240.75 as a result. It wiped out all my profit for this week. I assume others may experience the same issue. If we are getting less profit, you will get less commission...

Hi, red comments before about latency, you need to track main account and your account opened and closed deals time, if there is more than 1s difference, it is lottery, your day will be in + or in -...
Hi, you are a great trader but this big buy and sell within a second really eats our accounts since we get latency issue. This indirectly effects your profit. You have have made 60 quid in your account but you lost more in comission. Its not worth it i think. My suggestion is maybe open a second account for us to copy that way the latency may be reduced.
@RockwellFX, could you please let us know whether the large 60-lot trade executed today was truly an error or part of a new strategy? This is very important for me in deciding whether to keep my funds with you. I would appreciate your prompt response.
marcostonx posted:Anyone know if you increase your investment amount, does you lotsize auto scale?
When the account balance is low, the lot size will be small; most likely, when it's high, it will open a trade with a lot size larger than 0.03. You can see this by opening a demo account of your desired size; the lot size will become clear in the first trade.

ok thanks
What is the largest wallet size I should consider in USD to maximise returns based on this copy strategy?
If RockwellFX or someone who has this answer through live account or demo account testing could kindly share this information.
Hi RockwellFX,
Hello, could you please be a bit more conservative with position sizing? I’m copying with $3,000, and you had already generated a $50 profit from that amount. However, it seems you keep allowing the pair to drop again, even going into negative territory.
A $50 gain in one night on a $3,000 account is already an excellent result. There’s no need to be overly aggressive, especially when the price is clearly bouncing.
Could you please be more mindful of this? It’s not the first time I’ve noticed this behavior. You allow a pair to recover and reach profit, but then you let it fall again. I don’t quite understand the logic behind a strategy that permits that. Thanks.

If you want to double lot size, you need to double from Ophir equity
