I agree with the point about finding an edge before putting serious money at risk.One thing I would add for beginners is that a strategy should be simple enough to explain and measure. If you cannot clearly define why you enter, where the trade is invalidated, and how much you are willing to lose, it becomes very difficult to know whether the strategy is actually working.I work with both manual trading and automated systems, and the same principle applies to both. For me, the first thing after a losing trade is to check whether the loss was part of the plan or the result of a mistake.If the setup was valid and the risk was respected, I don’t think there is a reason to change the strategy just because of one loss. I simply wait for the next qualified setup.
