Need system for avoid overtrading.

There are always 2 reasons for overtrading. First, when you are glued to charts and start seeing setups in every candle. Second, when you break discipline after a loss and try to recover quickly. Both come from emotional trading, not the system itself. Without strict rules for entries and daily limits, overtrading will always creep in over time in trading.
Fair Value Gap (FVG) – Complete Guide

Something that always confuses me in FVG is how people decide which gaps are actually valid and which ones are just noise. On lower timeframes there are so many overlapping FVGs that it gets messy fast. I also struggle with knowing when price is likely to respect it vs just blowing straight through it without reaction. Market context matters most.
What is your expectation about monthly return at forex trading?

Honestly, 10-15% a month sounds good on paper, but it really depends on the market a lot. Some months you can hit that in strong trending conditions, other months you might barely stay green or even go flat. For me, consistency matters more than chasing a fixed percentage. I’d rather aim for steady risk control and let returns vary with volatility and opportunity. Markets rarely move in straight lines though.

Not trading every signal is actually the real trading. The edge comes from being selective, not active all the time. Anyone can take every setup, but knowing when to stay out is what protects your account and keeps you consistent. That discipline is what most traders overlook.
Controlled entries, disciplined exits, steady system behavior.

Looks like a solid start. How are you validating the EA across different market conditions like ranging vs trending phases? Also, are you tracking how it performs during high-impact news or just normal sessions? Curious how you’re measuring consistency beyond these first few days of testing.
