Topstep

Apa yang paling Anda sukai dari Topstep?

Stability and long‑term reputation
Topstep has been operating longer than most prop firms, which creates a sense of security and professionalism. In an environment where many firms appear and disappear quickly, stability is exactly what traders appreciate the most.

Apa yang ingin Anda tingkatkan dari Topstep?

Higher monthly fees
The monthly fees are among the highest in the futures prop industry. Over a longer evaluation period, this can become expensive, especially if a trader needs multiple resets or more time to meet the objectives. More flexible or slightly lower pricing would make the program accessible to a wider range of traders.
Strict evaluation rules
While the rules are fair and clearly defined, they are not very forgiving. A single mistake can lead to a reset, which increases both psychological pressure and financial cost. Introducing a bit more tolerance or offering alternative account types could benefit traders who are consistent but not perfect.

Keseluruhan

My experience with Topstep comes from an extended period of trading within their evaluation structure, which gave me enough time to assess not only the rules and trading conditions but also the quality of support, platform stability, and the company’s overall approach to funded traders. Topstep presents itself as a mature, well‑established prop firm that prioritizes discipline, transparency, and long‑term sustainability—values that align closely with what I expect from a serious trading partner.
What I value most
- Clear and consistent rules — Everything is defined upfront with no hidden conditions. For a professional trader, this level of clarity is essential because it removes ambiguity and allows full focus on execution.
- Strong emphasis on risk management — Topstep rewards controlled, stable trading rather than aggressive risk-taking. This mirrors real institutional expectations and encourages habits that matter in long-term performance.
- High-quality customer support — Every interaction I had with their support team was timely, professional, and solution-oriented. I never felt like just another ticket in the queue.
- Long-standing reputation — In an industry where prop firms appear and disappear quickly, Topstep’s longevity is a significant advantage. It creates a sense of stability and trust that newer firms often lack.
Where I see room for improvement
- Higher monthly fees — Compared to newer competitors, Topstep is more expensive. For me, the quality justifies the cost, but for beginners this may be a meaningful barrier.
- Strict evaluation rules — While fair, the rules are not forgiving. Topstep is better suited for disciplined traders rather than those looking for a quick or easy path to funding.
- Futures-only focus — This works for my trading style, but traders looking for forex, stocks, or crypto will find the offering limited.
Overall assessment
Topstep stands out as a professional and reliable choice for traders who take their craft seriously and want to operate in a structured, transparent environment. It is not the cheapest or the easiest program, but it is one that makes sense if you value credibility and long-term development. For me personally, Topstep has been a solid partner in testing my discipline, refining my risk management, and trading under conditions that closely resemble real-world expectations.
