The US dollar partly recovered its losses but holds steady; XAUUSD is attempting to rise, trading under the $4,920 resistance; EURUSD also faces growth within a corrective recovery; Bitcoin consolidates near the $79,000 resistance area, struggling to close the price gap

🔹The US dollar gains moderate strength amid expectations of the macro data. Yesterday’s ISM Manufacturing PMI report was better-than-expected.

🔹Gold reached its last Friday trading levels, the $5,000 target stays within a reach

🔹EURUSD looks more active in its cautious upside after the pullback

🔹Bitcoin slightly recovers with the first signs of investors’ demand appearing

Today’s focus:

🔹US JOLTS Job Openings (Dec) due at 17:00 MMT

FX Snapshot:

XAUUSD – Gold is moderately bullish while uncertainty persists. The current bounce of 9% from Monday lows doesn’t mean the start of the trend but a technical rebound. As long as the huge selloff didn’t belong to fundamentals but to a wipeout of the leveraged positions, the market has been accurately testing the key levels so far.

EURUSD –  The pair holds the 1.18000 support and might face the renewed pressure should the USD strengthen.

BTC  – Bitcoin holds near its recent key levels. The pair consolidates and may try to close the price gap above $81,100

❗️ Market tone❗️

The market leans higher, but stays alert. Buyers are gradually gaining control but the movement remains cautious and without strong momentum. The market is deciding whether to continue higher or slip back into consolidation. Interesting, but the RBA was the first major bank to raise its interest rate last night. Though it was an expected move, this was a reminder that rates don’t only go down but rise as well.Trade smart with Headway
