Which technical indicators do you personally use most often when doing swing trading in today’s market conditions?

I mainly use the 20 and 50 EMA for trend direction and pullbacks. RSI helps me spot momentum shifts, not overbought signals.Together, they keep me aligned with structure.

For swing trading, I mainly use the 20 & 50 EMA for trend direction, RSI for momentum, and support/resistance for entries and exits.I also watch volume and overall market structure to confirm moves. Simple, reliable, and effective in most market conditions.

I keep it pretty simple. I look at the bigger picture first, then I use a couple of basic tools to help me see if the market is moving up or down. After that I wait for price to pull back a bit and take the trade when it feels like the move is starting again. I try not to overthink it.

totally agree with that approach! starting with the bigger picture is key, and waiting for a pullback can really help you catch those moves. from my experience, looking at SMC concepts like liquidity grabs can also give you a better edge on entries. keep it simple and stay disciplined! 😊

Dont be greedy

How's that going for you out of curiosity? Ive started trading around 8 months ago been paper trading and started to see a bit of progress doing the same as you pretty much, trying to keep it simple. I just look at structure and imbalances, supply and demand etc. Looking to start with real money soon and just would like to see how others are doing and what works for them.

I tend to keep it minimal. Moving average for trend context and RSI mainly to spot extreme conditions, not signals by itself. The bigger factor is volatility regime. An indicator that works in expansion fails in compression. So I focus more on market environment.

I keep it pretty simple. For swing trades, I mainly use a moving average for structure and sometimes RSI just to see if we’re stretched. Nothing fancy. What I’ve learned is that indicators don’t create the edge, they just help frame context. Earlier on, I kept adding tools thinking more confirmation meant more safety. It just created noise. Now I’d rather focus on higher timeframe structure and let the setup come to me instead of chasing every signal.
