I do not separate them too much, because a strategy without risk rules is incomplete. Still, if I had to choose one, risk management comes first because it keeps you alive long enough for the edge to play out. I agree with the idea that profits often come when you stop trading everything and start repeating one system with small risk. “Just build a system” is true, but it only works if you define clear market conditions when you do not trade
