FED & GOLD — Above 4,500 or Below 4,200?

FED and BOJ meetings this week put central banks back in focus. The key question for Gold isn't just the rate decision — it's forward guidance. A hawkish signal could cap Gold above 4,500, while a break below 4,200 may open the path to 4,100–4,000.

Central banks are back in focus.

This week's key events are the FED (FOMC) and BOJ meetings, but markets will be watching more than just the rate decisions. The bigger question is whether further tightening would represent a one-off move or the beginning of a broader rate-hike cycle.

With volatility already increasing across Gold and U.S. equity indices, the FED announcement and forward guidance could trigger significant moves across global markets.

GOLD — Key LevelsResistance: 4,400–4,500

A hawkish FED, particularly one signalling further tightening ahead, could make a sustained break above 4,500 more difficult.

Support: 4,200–4,250

A clear break below 4,200 could expose 4,100–4,000, especially if tighter monetary policy triggers broader global de-risking.

The key question: 4,500+ or below 4,200?

The answer may depend less on what the FED does today — and more on what it signals comes next.
